Alright, so for my daily card, I asked a question. My question was: What do I need to focus on in my life right now?
I've been feeling pretty lost when it comes to purpose and motivation.
The card I drew for this question was the Seven of Swords.
One meaning for this card is that someone has taken something; self motivation (what are you taking and who could it hurt).
I suppose this could mean that I am taking something that could be hurting someone else. Am I being selfish somehow? I know no one wants to own up to possibly being selfish but in I like to know when I'm being greedy and hurting people. That way, I know what I need to do to stop it.
I really can't think of anything off the top of my head.
Something could be taken from me. Again, I'm not sure what that would be exactly.
Sometimes the tarot makes no sense why it gives me the cards it does.
If anybody knows a different meaning of the cards I post, please PLEASE let me know so I can maybe figure some of this shit out. :)

Past Life Tarot Reading
So, I've been fascinated lately with past life experiences/memories. I'm not quite sure I wholly believe in it. It's a wonderful notion, though.
And, I just learned that there are a few tarot card spreads that deal with past lives and trying to figure yours out. I decided to try one out and was a little confused about what it all could mean. Sometimes if I talk myself through it or write it all out, I can begin to understand it a little more. Bear with me!
So, it's kinda difficult to see exactly what cards I've got going on here. Thumbs up for stupid cameras!~ The spread kinda goes like this:
It reads in an infinity symbol fashion.
1)Physical: What did you look like?
2)Location: Where did you live?
3)Personality: What kind of person were you?
4)Relationships: Which relationships have you carried over from your past to the present?
5)Purpose: What was your soul's purpose?
6)Passion: What did you love about your past life?
7)Death: How did your old life pass away?
8)Lesson: What did you learn from your old life?
9)Unresolved Issue: What fear, worry or concern did you carry over?
10)Present Purpose: What do you need to accomplish now?
11)Advice: What message does your past self have for your present self?
Some cards that I drew made sense to me. Others... not so much.
1)Ten of Swords: Dramatic, sorrow, grief, sadness, desolation
2)Ten of Wands: You are forced to live under someone else's will rather than your own.
3)Justice: Compromise, karma, harmony, equality
4)Ten of Cups: Family means everything, domestic.
The Sun: Happy, joy, understanding, long-term relationships
5)Eight of Wands: Swift inevitability, receiving a message
6)Ace of Wands: Action, power, responsibility, fire
7)Knight of Cups: Graceful, chivalrous, arrival, approach, proposition
8)Temperance: Peace, grace, truth, perfect control, psychic ability(?), uniting, combination
9)Judgement: Fear of moving forward, accepting things the way they are, change in position
10)Knight of Pentacles: Practical, endurance, loyalty, emotional detachment(?)
11)The High Priestess: Experience, intuition, truth, paying attention, have faith
So, there are a lot of tens in there... let me look up what that could mean...okay! It looks like some of the more popular theories is "completion", "transition between ending and beginning".
#1 makes no sense to me. How can a card like that tell me about my physical traits? Thoughts?
#2 makes sense. Obviously, I was in a place that was under control of a dictator or king/queen type thing. Burdensome times.
#3 is my personality. Apparently, I was all about Justice and equality. Awesome. That's kind of how I am in present times.
#4 represents relationships. This makes SO MUCH SENSE!!! This also applies to the present times. Family always comes first and it the most important thing in my life.
#5 is purpose. The only thing I can think of is I was a messenger. Which doesn't really jive with my personality traits.
#6 is what I loved. Sounds like I was a power-hungry, responsible fire bug! :) Just kidding. I'm not quiet sure how that could tie into my past life...
#7 is how I kicked the bucket. I don't have any birthmarks or anything to compare. Death arrived, approached with a proposition to go with him into the afterlife. Natural causes?
#8 is what I learned. Sounds like I learned all about uniting and coming together. I don't know.
#9 is unresolved issue(s). Fear of moving forward, change in position, accepting things the way they are. I do have some problems with that sort of thing. Change is hard for me to deal with.
#10 is my present purpose. Loyalty (which I've got in spades), endurance, practicality? This one stumps me.
#11 is advice I have for myself. PAY ATTENTION! EXPERIENCE THINGS! DISCOVER THE TRUTH! Sounds pretty good.
So, what have I learned about my past life? I lived in a difficult time period/place. I was a messanger? I died a boring death. I had a loving family and was very happy with that. My past self is telling my present self to GROW UP ALREADY! Hahaha!
Anybody else have any ideas? I would love to hear them!

Apologies and Comic-Con
Well... I warned you that I'm not very good at consistent writing. I'm sorry.
So, I haven't been practicing my witchcraft as often as I would like. Somehow I need to balance my work and free time to make room for witchcraft. The problem with me is there's so much I enjoy doing in my free time. I love reading, sketching, painting, researching, listening to music, napping, playing video games, watching movies, dorking around online and hanging out with my family.
I also need to find some time to run to Earthly Awakenings and Spirit Goat and stock up on some supplies. I've been really wanting to get some peppermint and eucalyptus oil. I also really want to get some jet and kunzite.
So, my tarot card 'o the day is the Three of Swords. It basically means "sorrow through knowledge". I'm still not sure how that applies to me today. I'll have to keep thinking about it I guess.
The other day, I took a quiz online just for the hell of it on which tarot card suits you best. I took it twice and for some reason, I kept getting The Sun card. Unfortunately, I know that's a bunch of bullshit. I am the most pessimistic person I know. I don't understand it at all.
So, in other news, I'm getting ready for Comic-Con that's coming to Salt Lake City this September. Me, my sister and my brother will be spending the entire three days in a hotel right across from the Salt Palace Convention Center. I've been thinking about what cosplay I want to do. I'm seriously thinking about doing Selim Bradley/Pride from Fullmetal Alchemist. I'm short, I already have short hair and it's a fairly cheap and easy costume to put together. Also, Pride is my favorite homunculus. I'll post some pictures once I put it together. You guys can tell me how lame I look :)
For those of you who don't know, this is Selim Bradley/Pride. He's a little boy who is actually a homunculus/a physical incarnation of the sin Pride. The most expensive part of the costume will probably end up being the violet contacts.

Card O' The Day: Queen of Cups (reversed)
So, today's card was the Queen of Cups (reversed).
Core Meaning: Someone who supports and nurtures emotions, relationships, and artistic endeavors.
I've been thinking that, perhaps, this card was referring to my decision to start actually posting stuff on my blog. Or, it could mean my artist block has been lifted. I finally had some inspiration come to me and have been able to sketch again.
That's all I could think it would be...
I'll ponder it and let you know if I come up with anything else

Tarot Cards
So, awhile ago, I broke down and bought myself a deck of tarot cards. There are so many decks to choose from! I had no idea until I browsed through Amazon (my favorite website). I ended up purchasing The Steampunk Tarot set. (I have a slight obsession with all things steampunk)
The set included a gorgeous set of tarot cards and an equally beautiful manual.
The manual's been a great help since I had absolutely no friggin' clue what I was supposed to do with these cards. (I've been studying and have a basic idea of what to do :)
I've been trying to do a reading every day. Most of the time it just ends up being a Card O' The Day thing. I draw a single card that is supposed to be a guide for my day. Sometimes, I find it helps. Most times, I don't understand.
So, I will try to post my Card O' The Day reading each day. I'm a space-cadet and cannot guarantee this will really happen. But I'll try my hardest!
I've also tried to do a couple of spreads: Three-Card Draw, Celtic Cross, and a Lost Item Spread. Each time I do a spread, I will take a picture of it and explain how it goes.
I've acquired a few favorite cards: The Hermit, Death, Page of Wands, Two of Swords, and The Hanged Man.

The Hermit: "To see the glow of your own light, go into the dark."
Death: "The gentle silence of death takes all you sorrow, transforms it, and gives it back to you as love."
Page of Wands: "Yes, I have a very cool weapon. Yes, I know how to use it. No, I'll do it when I'm good and ready."
Two of Swords: "La-la-la-la-la-la-la - I can't hear you. Just a bit occupied at the moment. Please go away."
The Hanged Man: "A little shift in perception, that's all that was needed."
If anyone has stories, experiences, anything to do with tarot... I would LOVE to hear about it!
Comments make me very happy :)
